Often times resumes are never even seen by human eyes. Most companies have too many resumes to sort through, so they let applicant tracking systems do it for them. Today, the best way to be recognized as a job seeker is to ask for an introduction or referral. This can be intimidating as we don’t always know what to say, or how to say it. Thanks to Kelly’s encouragement during this event, and her useful templates, I was able to gain introductions to multiple companies. I even got an interview! I also took Kelly up on her offer for a free strategy session, and I hope to schedule a full session in the future. I know it’ll be worth it.
