Our shared experience is our most valuable asset. We help people change their lives. Your experiences will help encourage, teach and inspire others. 

We will consider all submissions of content for our blog including written pieces, photography and video to be used on AlloraCollective.com and social media to promote yours or the brand’s services. In each post we’ll link the website and social networks of the author so that our community can easily find your blog or social media accounts, exposing you to our audience and help grow your following.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A Insider’s Experience: Pick a destination you’ve lived in and share your favorite spots to eat, show visitors, neighborhoods, options for self-care, cultural specialties, the job market, transportation and more. We love personal and lifestyle posts.
    Sample Ideas: An Insider’s Guide To Working In London, A Foodie’s Guide To New York, The Best Decision I Made? Moving To Los Angeles, Apartment Hunting Tips In Amsterdam, etc etc
  • Career Story: Share a personal experience, a lesson you learned during your career. Write about a story that has stuck with you and has remained applicable over the years.
    Sample Ideas: The Interview Cheatsheet I Didn’t Know I Needed, How To Interview Your Next Boss, Evaluating Offer Packages Beyond Salary, My Story: A Lesson on Being Female in the Tech World, etc etc
  • Skip my mistakes: Create a helpful list of things that would have made your life easier if you knew them before you moved to a new destination or joined a new company.
    Sample Ideas: : “Interview questions I wish I’d asked…” or “Things I get in writing when I accept a new job” or “Cultural habits I wish I knew before I moved” 
  • Photo Stories: Do you communicate your career and relocation stories via your social media visuals? Create a photo journal with details under each image to illustrate the purpose of the story you’re sharing.

  • We reserve the right to apply edits to your submission to aid structure, improve grammar, enhance SEO, introduce additional links and images (if your images do not meet the required quality for the Allora Collective blog).
  • We do not pay for contributor posts at this time.

Guidelines & Tips For Blog Submissiones And Social Media Content

GENERAL WRITTEN GUIDELINES

  • Send all written content via Google Doc or Word Doc to contact@alloracollective.com
  • All written content should be made only for the Allora Collective blog
  • We will remove any affiliate links included. If you are a brand, tourism or hospitality company, and would like to be featured, please reach out to contact@alloracollective.com
  • Text should be approximately  300-750 words
  • Please also include a short bio, profile picture and social media links, we want to make sure you are the featured expert!

PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEO GUIDELINES

  • Send all photographs via Google Drive link
  • All photos should be at least 770x120px or larger
  •  If you would like to feature videos, please include in your blog the embeddable video code via services like YouTube, Instagram, etc.
  • All photographs submitted should be owned by the contributor (unless you can provide proof of written permission to use photographs by the original creator), or utilize free stock photography sites, please include appropriate citations as needed
  • All photos that don’t fit Allora Collective’s aesthetic will be replaced at the discretion of our editor.

Social Media: 

  • Instagram Takeovers – We would love for coaches to ‘takeover’ the Allora Instagram for a day. Share a ‘day in the life’ look at your career, your city, a new skill, or a planned Q&A. These should be fun, informative, and a mix of images and videos that you provide that share your personality, and grow your following as well.

     

  • Photo Carousels – While similar in style to a takeover, these will be sourced in advance and posted to the feed of our social media profiles with credit and information about you. Share a favorite quote, a job tip, or career lesson. Show us the cute coffee shop, farmer’s market, or famous attraction in your neighborhood.
